Mental Health Is Overlooked

about

Mental Health Is Overlooked is a new single by Nic Bam about his doctor and how they got him addicted to Benzodiazepine. Nic has been fighting to be deprescribed for the last three years. The doctor essentially left him waiting in the rain for their nonsense tendencies. To remove himself from the Benzos as well as the other meds they have Nic on, he needs to be carefully monitored as Nic has a heart defect and can find himself in serious trouble if he were to try to taper off the meds himself. Nic Bam is a hostage of the Canadian Healthcare System and its partners, the pharmaceutical companies.

*Artist Quote: “I never wanted to be on these meds in the first place. I had a doctor for 30+ years, then when he retired he sold the practice to a doctor that promised never to leave, who sold the practice to a doctor who promised never to leave who sold the practice to a doctor that dropped me as a patient within 30 mins of meeting me and not once considering my medical requirements.”

*Single Blurb: Mental Health Is Overlooked is self-explanatory. We need to make sure we’re talking about it, singing about it, rapping about it, and meeting about it until it gets better.

lyrics

Now I’m waiting in the rain
Blame the nonsense tendencies
You Gotta come correct
If you want to get the best of me
This ain’t dependencies
So duck your social consistence
You wanna win the race
Then you gotta go the distance
I’ve been here before
This ain’t never nothing new to me
Try to prove yourself
Like a fact you have verity
There is no spoon you see
The mind is just a mystery
That’s why the double y
Synonymous to your history
Vivid with the double eye
Jackal and Hyde
With The Rapture inside
I got the passion to die
And the passion to kill
With a passionate thrill
And My passion’s enough
To share my thoughts if you will
Let me swallow my pills
While they keep me insane
But Little do I know
The pills are eating my brain
Now Addicted to the benzo
Doctor is a Schizo
Got me in a spiral
Till they drop me like an end zone

Yah, Easy come, and easy go
Round and round We dosi doe
Now, Will it cease or shall it grow
Mental health’s overlooked by the load
Yeah it’s alright, it’s OK
I came to show improve and play
I’m not the type to fade away
In the back falling through all the cracks

So it’s duck what you heard
And time to keep it relevant
I am a nerd for words
And how they pocket in
Prefer to blur the lines
No code programming
Luck is absurd and
Rhyming’s so elegant
I get plutobed at first
It’s so evident
But then I think of curse words
From spelling
Page with writing
Or I type them in a note
Voice Spoken out loud
No matter the phrase
They choke
on the smoke
Like an engine on the highway
If Im gonna do this music
Then Im gonna do it my way
Bypass your ass
Like I was an S Class
I ain’t letting off the gas
Or taking a look back
I can write, produce
Rap, Record then mix
Toured states and provinces
Still From the Stix
Built this brick by brick
Nothing ever comes quick
Or maybe never at all
But I’ll always stick to it
Yeah I’m sick with this
Beat hits the vibe
Finding out my purpose
So I keep it alive
No matter if I ever have a fan base
Or not
My experience with fame
Wasn’t all its made of
I wasn’t the star
But I managed and produced
Rapped on stage hype-man
To the mech booth
Agent to the driver
Opener
make the most of it
Other artists come and go
So really I don’t give a shhh

Yah, Easy come, and easy go
Round and round We dosi doe
Now, Will it cease or shall it grow
Mental health’s overlooked by the load
Yeah it’s alright, it’s OK
I came to show improve and play
I’m not the type to fade away
In the back falling through all the cracks

Yah, Easy come, and easy go
Round and round We dosi doe
Now, Will it cease or shall it grow
Mental health’s overlooked by the load
Yeah it’s alright, it’s OK
I came to show improve and play
I’m not the type to fade away
In the back falling through all the cracks
